The Giant Panda

Today we made our own fact files about the Giant Panda. We wrote really interesting facts about their diet and habitat and even some fun facts!  

Chinese New Year Fireworks

We had such a great time painting our Chinese New Year Fireworks pictures. We used forks instead of paint brushes to create the firework effect! 

Snow is Dancing

We listened to Claude Debussy's Snow is Dancing and drew our responses to the music. 

China

Our theme this fortnight is China and the Chinese New Year. We have been learning lots about the Chinese culture, weather, traditional foods, games and festivals and clothes. 

Múinteoir Sinéad brought in chopsticks, a Chinese newspaper, a newspaper, New Years decorations, a tea set and lots more for us to see. We loved looking at all the Chinese artifacts. Our favourites were the umbrella (which is an ancient Chinese invention!) and the money.
