Active Schools Week - Day 4
Today was the last day of our
Active Schools Week.
First and Second class played football with two super footballers from the Galway team. They showed us new football skills, like the hand pass.

We also finished our laps! We even ran a few extra to ensure we reached our target of 488 laps. Over the course of the week we ran a total of 492 laps!

Active Schools Week - Day 1
This week is Active Schools Week at Merlin Woods. We started the morning off by doing some yoga and stretches in the classroom.
The Active School Committee came into our class to teach us a new chant for when we are lining up in the yard.
After break we went out to the basketball courts to run some laps of the court. Over the course of the week our school will run the same distance from Galway to Dublin. Our class have to run 448 laps over the for days!!
All of us ran four laps of the basketball court. Altogether our first class ran 108 laps!
When we heard music over the intercom we all had a great dance to finish a very active day off!
