Tin Whistle

Third class are delighted to be back playing the tin whistle this year! 

So far this year we have learnt This Old Man, Twinkle Twinkle and London Bridge. 

We are really enjoying it! 

Shoebox Appeal

Well done to the boys and girls who made these beautiful shoeboxes for the annual Shoebox Appeal. 

Violin

We had another violin lesson with Ciara from Music Generation today. We have learnt the correct way to hold the violin and know the names of all the strings. 

Stone Age

 In history we have been learning about the Stone Age. We learnt so many interesting facts. We drew our own versions of the entrance stones found at Newgrange. 

Spiders!

We have been learning all about spiders in science. We learnt really interesting facts about their habitats, characteristics and anatomy. We are experts now after creating these super fact files🕷 

We also wrote acrostic poems about spiders🕷 

Choir

We are so excited to be going to music lessons each week with Stephen from the Claddagh music school. We are learning new songs.

Autumn Trees

We created these beautiful autumn trees! 🍁🍂🍃

Halloween Disco

 We had the BEST time at the Halloween Disco! It was great fun to dress up and dance with all of our classmates in the school hall. We also played some spooky Halloween themed games too and had some tasty treats in the classroom.

Pumpkins

 Third Class have been learning all about pumpkins this week!

We have learnt the anatomy of the pumpkin and can name each part of the pumpkin. It was really interesting to learn the different names of each part. 

We also carved a pumpkin too! We got to see the inside of the pumpkin. We couldn't believe how many seeds were inside!
