The Robin

We are learning about the Robin in school. We drew beautiful pictures of a robin sitting on a branch for art this week. Some of us painted the robin, some of us used chalk pastels and some people used colouring pencils. We think they came out great!

Science Investigation

We are learning about materials at the moment in science. We carried out an investigation to determine which material is the strongest and most suitable for carrying books. We tested paper, biodegradable, plastic and material bags. We had great fun carrying out the investigation and all concluded that paper bags were not strong!

New playground equipment

The boys and girls are incredibly excited about our new playground equipment. We have been monitoring the progress since we came back to school after the midterm break. We are delighted to see it is almost completed!

Project Work

We have been really busy this week working on our Ancient Egyptian projects.

We used our computer time this week to do further research for our projects.

Ancient Egypt - Hieroglyphic Tiles

For art this week, we used clay tools to inscribe hieroglyphics and Egyptian art on clay tiles.

We can't wait to paint them when they are dry.

Hedgehog Hotel!

When learning about "Procedural Writing", we read a text called "How to make a hedgehog hotel".

Look at this amazing hedgehog hotel created by one of the girls in our class. The hotel was so cosy that a hedgehog seems to be staying in it too!!!!

Ancient Egypt - Hieroglyphics

Today we were learning about Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics.

We wrote our names using hieroglyphics.

We used tea to give our paper a really old appearance. We carefully tore the paper around the edges too.
