Farming in the past

We are learning about farming in the past in history. 

Múinteoir Sinéad showed us a story written by her grandfather in 1939. It told us what life was like living on a farm in Ireland.

PE Lessons

Third class are delighted to be back in the sports hall playing games with all their friends. 

We are focusing on the games strand this month in PE. We are enjoying playing some new games. Our new favourite game is called Pirate Ship. 



Paul Cézanne Artwork

Today we were learning about the French artist, Paul Cézanne. He was famous for painting still life images. 

We drew our own versions of his famous fruit bowl oil painting.

The Stone Age

We have been learning all about the Stone Age this week in History. It's so interesting! 

For art we drew our own versions of the famous entrance stones that are found outside Newgrange in County Meath.

Fionn and the Dragon

This week in history we were learning about the famous irish legend "Fionn Mac Cumhaill" and how he became the leader of na Fianna by defeating a dragon for the High King of Ireland. 

We used chalk pastels to draw our own dragons.
