We love reading in our class. Every Thursday we go to the library and select our new library books. 

We love browsing the shelves for new books! 

Pumpkin Competition

We loved looking at all the fantastic carved pumpkins that were on display in the school hall. They were all SO creative! Well done to Junior Infants and Fifth Class who won the competition! 

Spooky Skeletons

We created spooky skeletons during our art lesson this week.

Halloween Disco

 
                        We had SO much fun at our school!

 It was such an exciting night of fun and dancing with our friends.

We loved looking at all the costumes too. 

Pumpkin Carving

The parents from the PTA have organised a very exciting competition this year for Halloween - a pumpkin carving competition! 

First, we all designed a pumpkin. Then, we decided the best designs and voted for our favourite one. 

 These are our favourite pumpkin carving designs.  

 Next, we took turns to empty the pumpkin so it will be ready to carve tomorrow! 

                

Music Generation Violins

We were VERY excited today when we went to our Music Generation lesson this morning! 

Ciara, Ingrid and Karen had all our lovely new violins ready and waiting for us. It was very exciting! We spent the lesson learning the correct ways to hold the violin. 

At the end of the lesson we had a special performance from Ciara, Ingrid and Karen. 

Maths Art

As part of Maths Week, Múinteoir Lisa organised a Mats Art competition of all of the classes. We looked at the artwork of Paul Klee, a famous Swiss artist and made our own versions of his famous painting "Castle and Sun". We focused on using 2D shapes and we also got to improve our ruling techniques!
